Normally, after the National Day holiday (September 2), Da Nang enters its low tourist season due to unfavorable weather conditions and a decline in domestic tourist arrivals.

However, the local tourism industry has recorded positive signs even during the period.

Statistics show that in October, Da Nang welcomed more than 1.3 million visitors, up over 25% year-on-year. Notably, international tourist arrivals reached about 614,000, higher than the previous month and up more than 28% year-on-year.

Additionally, the number of tourists on tours served by travel agencies in October stood at more than 115,000, while revenue from travel and tourism services was estimated at VND 318 billion, all these indicators showing year-on-year growth of around 20%.

Traditionally, this period also marks the peak season for international visitors. Therefore, Da Nang is implementing many solutions to exploit this market to the fullest. Notably, efforts are being made to promote potential international tourist markets with a large number of visitors to the city.

In particular, in the Southeast Asian market, Vietjet Air has recently launched a new air route connecting Da Nang and Kuala Lumpur starting from October 26.

The city has also welcomed a group of KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and a famtrip delegation from the region to seek cooperation opportunities and experience local popular destinations.

Also in October, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism set up a promotional booth at the ITB Asia 2025 in Singapore, the leading trade and tourism fair in the Asia-Pacific region, to showcase the city’s signature tourism products after the recent merger.

Currently, the city is maintaining the campaign "I love Da Nang" to encourage international visitors who have been to Da Nang to return. The campaign targets such key markets as China, South Korea, Japan, and ASEAN member countries, plus international visitors to Da Nang on new air routes launched in 2025.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Viet, Head of the "Quang Nam Destination - Preserving Indigenous Values" Club under the Da Nang Tourism Association, Da Nang should take more solutions to attract winter vacationers and long-stay tourists from major potential markets like Japan, Australia, and Northern Europe.

A representative of VITRACO Transport and Tourism JSC suggested Da Nang promote a “Winter Wellness Retreat in Da Nang” model for Japanese tourists. Running from November through March - Japan’s winter months, this product package will provide long-term accommodation, elderly care, and health care services meeting Japanese standards.

Moreover, Da Nang’s tourism industry is actively boosting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism which adapts well during periods of unfavorable weather conditions in the city.
