Da Nang leaders receive South Korean delegations

Vice Chairman Buu informed that many South Korean enterprises have chosen Da Nang as a production and business destination.

Notably, Hamyang District and former Nam Tra My District have established friendship and cooperative relations since 2015. The two localities signed an agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers to South Korea.

Hamyang District has also supported social welfare projects, especially in the field of education, in Nam Tra My District.

Highlighting the great potential of the new Da Nang, Vice Chairman Buu voiced his hope that Hamyang District will continue to strengthen business connections, and promote cooperation in economy, trade and tourism, especially the development of Ginseng - a rare medicinal herb that both localities have.

For his part, Mr. Jin Byung Young congratulated Da Nang on its great development potential. He also affirmed that Hamyang District will continue maintaining its existing relationship and expanding cooperation with Da Nang in various spheres, especially tourism.

On the occasion, the Hamyang District government donated the funding for planting 20 coconut trees totaling VND 40 million on Da Nang beaches.

Also on Monday morning, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan warmly received a working delegation from Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, led by Deputy Mayor An Chi Kwon.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman Tuan said that Da Nang has set up friendly cooperative relations with eight localities of South Korea in many fields in recent years.

In particular, Uiwang City and former Hai Chau District has established the bilateral cooperative relations since 2021.

Both localities have carried out a number of diverse cooperation activities such as the exchange programme for junior high school pupils, promotion of Uiwang enterprises at the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair 2023 in Da Nang, and the introduction of OCOP products of Hai Chau District and Da Nang at the Uiwang Railway Festival 2023.

Uiwang has annually participated in the Viet Nam - South Korea Festival held in Da Nang.

Mr. An Chi Kwon, Vice Mayor of Uiwang City, thanked the city for the warm welcome given to the delegation. He also shared his deep impression of the scale of the 2025 Viet Nam - South Korea Festival, as well as Da Nang’s rapid growth.

In the coming time, Uiwang City will continue to organize educational and experience exchange programmes with Da Nang in the aspects of urban environment, public health, social culture and medical education.
