DNO - Da Nang held a citywide event at the March 29 Square on Sunday morning in response to the “Moving Forward with Vietnam” walking campaign 2026. drawing more than 3,000 officials, soldiers, Youth Union members, association members and local residents.

At the same time, 93 communes and wards across the city organized activities in response to the campaign, bringing total participation citywide to more than 22,000 people.
The “Moving Forward with Vietnam” walking campaign is jointly organized by the Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security.
In Da Nang, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism took the lead in coordinating with the Da Nang Department of public Security, the Nhan Dan Newspaper’s representative office in the Central and Central Highlands regions, and other relevant agencies, organizations and localities to implement the program.

At the city’s main venue, delegates and residents participated in a range of activities, watched artistic performances, connected with the central venue, attended the flag-salute and flag-raising ceremonies, listened to the campaign launch address, and joined the mass walk.
Under the message “10 billion green steps - For a sustainable Vietnam”, the campaign aimed to promote regular physical activity, improve public health, and encourage a civilized and healthy lifestyle.
It also highlighted the spirit of solidarity, determination and aspirations for development shared by Da Nang and the nation as a whole.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports Tao Viet Hai said the campaign called on every official, soldier, resident and visitor to choose at least one sport or form of physical activity suited to their age, health and personal circumstances and practice it regularly.

Everyone is encouraged to start with simple activities and maintain them as part of their daily routine, while encouraging family members, friends and colleagues to join.
