DNO - The 20th Vietnam National Congress of Cardiology (VNCC2026) is taking place from October 2 to 4 in Da Nang, bringing together leading cardiologists, medical experts, and healthcare professionals from across Vietnam.
VNCC2026 under the theme “Cardiology in a New Era: Integration - Pioneering - Implementation" is attended by Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, representatives of departments under the Ministry of Health, directors of major hospitals, and leading specialists in cardiovascular medicine.
The event features a series of scientific sessions and professional discussions covering the latest advances in cardiovascular diagnosis, treatment, intervention, prevention, and disease management.
It also focuses on strengthening the link between scientific research and clinical practice, helping translate new medical knowledge into more effective patient care.
Key topics include comprehensive hypertension management in Vietnam for the 2026 - 2030 period, the application of the 2026 recommendations on the diagnosis and management of chronic coronary syndrome in clinical practice, and updates to hypertension guidelines issued by the Vietnam National Heart Association.
Addressing the opening session, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi described the congress not only as a major scientific event hosted by Da Nang, but also as a valuable opportunity for the city’s healthcare sector to enhance professional capacity.
She said the event provides doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in Da Nang with opportunities to update their knowledge, exchange experience and connect with leading Vietnamese and international experts. These interactions can help bring new medical knowledge and technologies into patient care.
