Da Nang has so far set up cooperative relations with 8 localities of South Korea, namely Changwon, Daegu, Jeju, Hwaseong, Pyeongtaek, Osan, Yongin and Gwangyang. Bilateral cooperation programmes between Da Nang and South Korean localities have been effectively implemented in many aspects such as tourism, training, and cultural and staff exchange.

In the field of labor, some localities of Da Nang and former Quang Nam Province such as Hoa Vang, Nam Tra My and Hiep Duc have sent seasonal workers to districts in South Korea, including Gurye.

Notably, Gurye District has signed a seasonal labor cooperation agreement with Hoa Vang District since January 2025, and established a friendly relationship with Son Tra District since January 2024. This partnership is an important foundation for their future collaboration.
