The publication noted that Da Nang is emerging as a favored destination for the international digital nomad community thanks to its affordable cost of living, improving infrastructure, and high quality of life.

The magazine likened the central coastal city to the “Miami of Vietnam” and said it is becoming an appealing alternative to established remote-working destinations such as Bali in Indonesia and Thailand.

According to the article, Da Nang is just about an hour's flight from both Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. It boasts 32 kilometers of coastline and enjoys a strategic position that provides easy access to major regional hubs.

Its international airport, situated close to the city center, makes travel across Asia both convenient and cost-effective.

The city is also praised for its relaxed pace of life and significantly lower living costs compared to many other well-known destinations in the region.

The French magazine noted that Da Nang is no newcomer to the international tourism map. The city was included in The New York Times’ list of “52 Places to Go” in 2019 and has once again been featured in this year's edition.

Along with the growing expatriate and digital nomad communities, property prices and rental costs in Da Nang have risen sharply over the past two years.

However, food prices have remained relatively stable, helping the city retain its appeal for high-income remote workers.

Notably, Da Nang authorities organized the first Da Nang Nomad Fest in March. The 10-day event featured networking activities and seminars aimed at attracting more international freelancers.

Journal des Français à l'étranger concluded that with its strategic location, affordable living costs, strong digital infrastructure and high quality of life, Da Nang is steadily attracting remote workers from around the world and is emerging as one of Asia’s most promising destinations for the global digital nomad community.
