DNO - Medical and wellness tourism is a high-potential sector that Da Nang is actively prioritizing. The city is now focusing on creating high-quality medical service packages tailored to tourists’ length of stay and travel itineraries as well as combine traditional cultural experiences with modern medicine.

Under the initiative, the Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children offers three packages: assessment of female reproductive function before in vitro fertilization (IVF); assessment of male reproductive function before IVF; and screening and treatment for infertility using IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
The Da Nang Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology provides a package for the extraction of impacted or misaligned wisdom teeth.
Meanwhile, the Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital offers a wellness package featuring three treatment combinations: heat therapy, herbal steam therapy and full-body herbal baths; acupressure massage, herbal compresses, heat therapy and cupping; and acupressure massage, herbal compresses, herbal steam therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
According to Dr. Tran Dinh Vinh, Director of Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children, the development of screening and treatment packages for infertility will help enhance the patient experience, improve access to high-quality healthcare services and promote the city's medical tourism sector.
The Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital has developed a systematic range of traditional medicine-based wellness services to serve tourists.
In particular, standardizing and expanding the application of new traditional medicine treatment techniques has helped diversify treatment options to meet the healthcare needs of both residents and visitors.
Furthermore, the hospital has designed programs that combine relaxation and wellness activities, integrating cultural experiences, nature and healthy cuisine with traditional medicine therapies.

According to Dr. Vo Thu Tung, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Health, the city will continue improving its healthcare network, enhancing the quality of medical examination and treatment services, particularly specialized healthcare, and high-quality medical services and models.
At the same time, Da Nang will develop high-quality, high-value medical tourism and wellness services and products to serve both domestic and international tourists.
Priority will be given to supporting and expanding public healthcare facilities' provision of medical and wellness services suited to tourists' length of stay and travel itineraries.
Da Nang also targets to establish and develop an interconnected ecosystem linking healthcare facilities with tourism businesses, transport providers, international health insurance companies and interpretation services.
By 2030, the city aims to have at least two public healthcare facilities meet at least one international standard for professional capacity and healthcare service quality.
