On the morning of September 18, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu received Ambassador of Colombia to Vietnam Camila Polo Florez and her delegation during their visit and working trip to Da Nang.
Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu expressed his pleasure at welcoming Ambassador Camila Polo Florez back to Da Nang following her Da Nang visit in March, 2026.
The city highly appreciated the efforts of the Ambassador and the Embassy of Colombia in Vietnam to promote cultural cooperation between the two sides.
A notable example was the cultural exchange featuring a Colombian youth dance troupe held on the afternoon of September 16 at the Ba Mu Temple Gate in Hoi An, Da Nang.
The programme contributed to strengthening people-to-people exchanges, bringing Colombia's distinctive cultural traditions closer to the local public and providing an opportunity for younger generations to enhance mutual understanding.
The exchange was also part of a series of activities aimed at further strengthening cultural ties between Vietnam and Colombia.
Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu said Da Nang is an important growth pole of Vietnam and remains open, proactive in international integration and ready to engage in exchanges with cultures from around the world.
With considerable potential for further cooperation, he expressed his hope that Ambassador Camila Polo Florez would continue to serve as a bridge for maintaining and expanding cultural exchange programmes, including artistic performances, delegation exchanges, exhibitions and festivals.

Such connections would also help facilitate the sharing of experience in destination promotion and contribute to attracting more visitors between the two sides.
Thanking the city's leaders for their warm and thoughtful reception, Ambassador Camila Polo Florez affirmed her continued efforts to promote multifaceted cooperation between Colombia and Vietnam, and Da Nang in particular.
The Ambassador also pledged to actively promote the culture, people and image of Da Nang, with a view to helping the city become an increasingly attractive destination for Colombian tourists in the time ahead.
