Da Nang bustling with tourists during DIFF 2026

According to the Da Nang Hotel Association, accommodation establishments in the coastal area of ​​Da Nang have recorded positive results during the opening night of DIFF 2026 and its subsequent fireworks nights, with the occupancy rates ranging from 85 to 95%.

Located along the Han River, the Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River Hotel has seen a surge in demand from tourists for accommodation, fireworks viewing, and dining during the fireworks displays. Several guests can enjoy the fireworks live from their rooms or from the buffet area on the 45th floor of this hotel.

Ms. Thai Thi Thu Thuy, Director of Sales & Marketing at Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River, said that the hotel was almost fully booked for the opening night on May 30th, and the remaining nights of the festival achieved an occupancy rate of over 70%.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, Director of Fivitel Da Nang, said that the rapid increase in room bookings has been confirmed since the beginning of May 2026, mostly from families and groups. Occupancy rates on Saturday (May 30th) and Sunday (May 31st) have reached 100%. Occupancy rates on weekends in June and July have exceeded 90%.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Commercial Director of Hilton Da Nang Hotel, shared, tourism demand heavily spikes on the days of DIFF 2026, especially weekends. The fireworks nights are expected to play a leading role in driving tourism demand, ensuring high accommodation occupancy rates and creating momentum for growth in the entire market during this peak season.

At Furama Resort Da Nang, the occupancy rate is 85 - 95%. Domestic tourists are expected to increase by nearly 20% compared to 2025, thanks to the appeal of DIFF 2026, the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF), and other cultural and tourism events in June and July.

According to General Director of Furama Resort Da Nang Nguyen Duc Quynh, the resort has observed a positive balance between domestic and international tourists. International tourists have clearly returned, while domestic tourists, especially families, leisure travelers, and those combining leisure with event attendance, tend to book rooms earlier.

He added that the large number of international tourists visiting Da Nang during this season period is a very positive sign for the city's hotel industry for strong recovery, enhancing its competitiveness and affirming Da Nang's position as a leading festival and resort destination in the region.

DIFF and the series of summer festivals are continuously expected to be important highlights, contributing to an increase in the number of tourists, especially international ones, to Da Nang.
