Da Nang breaks ground project worth over 1,568 billion VND in free trade zone

The event was attended by Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Tran Phuoc Son; Head of the Internal Affairs Commission of the City Party Committee Vo Cong Chanh; Head of the Management Board of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Vu Quang Hung; along with representatives from local government agencies.

A representative of SDN, the project developer, noted that the project is located at the gateway to Lien Chieu Port, a strategic location connecting to National Highway 1, the high-speed railway, the international airport, and the East-West Economic Corridor.

The project, covering an area of 75 hectares, will focus on green, digital, and smart infrastructure with international standards. It aims to meet the requirements of various fields concerning high-tech, logistics, semiconductors, electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), and high-value-added manufacturing.

A hub of modern logistics and manufacturing will be built, attracting more world-leading investors to Da Nang and connecting Vietnamese products to international markets while creating tens of thousands of high-quality jobs. It contributes to the city's socio-economic growth.

SDN affirmed that, alongside its international partners, the corporation was ready to deploy the project, helping Da Nang and Central Vietnam achieve new heights of dynamism, modernity, and prosperity.

Delivering his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Head of the Management Board of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Vu Quang Hung stated that this was the first infrastructure project in the Da Nang FTZ to complete basic construction procedures. The launch of the project by SDN marked the beginning of the realisation of the country's first FTZ.
