DNO - On December 12, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a seminar titled “Da Nang - A Muslim-Friendly Tourism Destination” to enhance preparations for welcoming and better serving the Muslim travel market.

According to the department, in 2025, Da Nang rolled out various promotional measures to attract the Muslim tourism market from Indonesia, Malaysia, CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), and the Middle East, alongside the operation of direct and charter flights from these markets.
Backed by the National Scheme for Halal Industry Development through 2030, which identifies Halal tourism as a priority sector, the city is implementing initiatives to build a Muslim-friendly destination aligned with international Halal standards.
At the seminar, experts and industry representatives discussed Muslim travel trends, demand, and standards for Muslim-friendly tourism services.

Participants also discussed solutions for developing a comprehensive chain of tourism products and services for Muslim visitors, focusing on service quality, Halal dining, hotel staffing, and effective communication to attract and retain Muslim tourists.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tan Van Vuong said that the seminar’s in-depth discussions provided an important foundation for building a Halal ecosystem and promoting the brand “Da Nang - A Muslim-Friendly Tourism Destination”.
