In terms of culture and tourism promotion, Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Truong Thi Hong Hanh, noted that the department is focusing on a series of large-scale political and cultural events linked to the cultural industry. These include the "Vietnam - Da Nang Cultural Week," themed "The Convergence of Quintessence," and promotional events in Ho Chi Minh City.

Also, the department promotes the development of the cultural industry by signing cooperation agreements with major corporations, such as Sun Group, Vingroup, and DatViet Group, to attract investment. The art programs to welcome the Lunar New Year 2027 (Tet holiday), which aims to boost the local nighttime economy, will take place in the city.

Moreover, a new tourism brand strategy is developed, particularly attracting the segments of high-spending international visitors, such as from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia, while expanding into potential markets like Russia and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Meanwhile, Director of the Da Nang Department of Construction, Le Thanh Hung, affirmed that the sector concentrates on finalizing the master plan until 2050, with a vision to 2075, as well as zoning and underground space plans, to optimize land use in the city. Notably, 100% of the surplus land fund after restructuring or the expiration of lease agreements will be allocated for building schools, parking facilities, health stations, and nine key parks.

Regarding transport and urban management, the Da Nang Department of Construction accelerates infrastructure projects, such as the Tuy Loan interchange, National Highway 14B, the East-West elevated routes, and the Cua Dai-Cu Lao Cham waterway port while preparing resources for high-speed and urban railway systems.

The department urgently completes policies, expanding bus routes connecting the city's southern area to Chu Lai Airport, implementing solutions to alleviate peak-hour congestion in the city center, enhancing the efficiency of smart parking facilities, and promoting the socialization of infrastructure investment.

Creating momentum for growth targets

According to Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, Le Thi Kim Phuong, this sector focuses on its GRDP growth plan with specific targets: a 12.84% increase in industrial production, a 13.07% rise in wholesale and retail trade, and double-digit growth in export turnover.

Da Nang will "fill industrial zones and clusters" to "fill value chains" through attracting foreign development investment (FDI), mainly in the fields of precision engineering, semiconductor equipment, automation, and electrified vehicles.

Regarding industrial production and energy, the department concentrates on policies to develop supporting industries, manufacturing and processing, industrial promotion, and industrial cluster infrastructure. It also accelerates investment in technical infrastructure, particularly wastewater treatment systems, while expanding and enhancing the efficiency of industrial clusters.

It completes the schemes for supporting industries, mechanical engineering, deep processing, and a technical support center for industrial development in Central Vietnam.

Regarding trade and import-export activities, the sector continues to effectively implement promotion, e-commerce, and logistics initiatives while accelerating the digital commerce and the city's product brands.

Also, the department completes the scheme to adjust and expand the boundaries of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone southward to connect with Lien Chieu Seaport, Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Chu Lai Airport, and key southern urban centers.

The department is focusing on the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period while sharing advice on the operation of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang.
