DNO - The bilingual photo book “Treasure” showcases natural wonders of the Son Tra Peninsula, often called the “precious gem” of Da Nang, Vietnam, has been released.
The 272-page publication, presented in both Vietnamese and English, combines artistic beauty with cultural and scientific value. Featuring evocative images, diverse perspectives, and concise introductions, the book vividly captures the majesty of Son Tra.
Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung, Member of the Editorial Council at the Publishing House, emphasized that the book reflects close cooperation between publishing authorities, local government and the contributions of numerous professional and amateur photographers from Vietnam and abroad.
Divided into 5 sections - Son Tra Landscape, Breath of the Forest, Treasures of Son Tra, Wild Dance, and Colours of the Sea - the collection takes readers on a journey to explore the peninsula’s rich biodiversity and unique natural beauty.
The Son Tra Peninsula is home to a wide variety of rare flora and fauna, including the endangered red-shanked douc langur, often called the “queen of primates.”
Many of the book’s photographs were selected from local competitions organised by the local authorities, as well as submissions from dedicated photographers.
This careful curation gives the work both scientific depth and artistic vibrancy.
By offering bilingual text, the book aims to reach a global audience, helping to promote Vietnam’s natural heritage to international friends.
The publication serves as a valuable resource for readers. Available in two formats (36x18 cm and 24x12 cm), the book preserves the defining values of the Son Tra Peninsula, one of Da Nang’s must-visit sites.
With its blend of striking photography and bilingual storytelling, “Treasure” stands as both a cultural keepsake and a powerful invitation to discover the natural wonders of Vietnam.
