DNO - 2025 marked a strong upswing for the aviation sector in Da Nang City, with rising passenger numbers, expanding routes, and a growing role in driving tourism, services, and international integration.

Strong growth momentum
Da Nang’s air market surged in 2025, with Da Nang and Chu Lai airports serving over 7.8 million passengers (+11.7%), including 3.3 million international and 4.5 million domestic travellers. Total flights reached more than 48,000 (+12.4%), comprising 20,200 international and nearly 28,000 domestic services.
Network growth led the upswing. The city now operates 26 scheduled routes, 8 domestic and 18 international, with 132 daily arrivals and a combined 76 daily domestic flights, up 11 per day year-on-year.
Continued expansion of international routes
Da Nang’s international network expanded sharply in 2025, with new and restored routes strengthening access to core and emerging markets.
Key additions included AirAsia Indonesia’s Bali service launching next March 20; Parata Air’s inaugural Incheon -Da Nang flight on October 24; China Southern’s Shenzhen resumption on October 2; and Emirates’ Dubai - Da Nang service, linking the city to more than 140 onwards destinations across the Middle East, Europe and North America.

New flights to Yangon and Kuala Lumpur and charter links to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan broadened coverage, alongside returning routes such as Bangkok and Osaka.
With new carriers - Emirates, Scoot, Parata Air, Myanmar Airways and Philippine Airlines - Da Nang’s market diversified beyond Northeast Asia to attract travellers from the Middle East, Russia, Central Asia and West Asia.
More routes and airlines coming in 2026
Da Nang now operates 18 regular international routes across Asia and the Middle East, linking destinations including Hong Kong, Macau, Incheon, Busan, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei-Kaohsiung, Narita, Osaka, Manila, Yangon and Dubai. Average daily international arrivals reached 56 flights, up four per day from 2024.
In 2026, planned additions include Citilink’s Medan - Da Nang, VietJet Air’s Da Nang-Beijing, and Sun Phu Quoc Airways’ Da Nang-Phu Quoc services, with potential entries from Nok Air and Philippines AirAsia.
