Young people in Da Nang embrace new startup models for sustainable growth

After joining training courses and learning about effective economic models, Mr. Alang Bia residing in Avuong Commune, Da Nang, recognized great potential in providing purified water for local residents. In 2023, he decided to invest in a bottled drinking water production facility.

He already installed a modern water filtration system in which the input water source is treated through reverse osmosis (RO) and ozone technology from the United States, and ultraviolet (UV) sterilization.

The Alangbia purified drinking water facility has been then upgraded with a capacity of 2,000 - 2,500 liters/day, equipped with a large filtration tank and a stable operating system that ensures a continuous 24/7 supply.

In addition to meeting the needs of the people, the model also creates jobs for two local workers, each earning VND 250,000 per day.

Meanwhile, the Leaf Village & Farm in Hai Van Ward is developing eco-tourism model associated with the community. Its project “Leaf Village Associated Garden - Working Together for Community-based Economic Development” aims to become a bridge of cooperation between the business and local households.

As for the Co Tu ethnic people in Hai Van Ward, the project helps increase income and stabilize life; promote clean and safe production with high-quality agricultural products; preserve traditional farming practices; and strengthen community cohesion through household group-based cooperation.

For Leaf Village & Farm, the project ensures a proactive supply of clean ingredients for its restaurant, accommodation services and culinary experiences; as well as affirms the brand image of connection, sustainability and social responsibility.

At the same time, visitors can directly visit, harvest and process agricultural products, enhancing their experience at Leaf Village.

Starting a business in April 2024, Mr. Hua Phong, Director of the Net Corp Education and Technology Group Co., Ltd., based in Hai Chau Ward), has developed an English and Chinese training model serving 1,000 learners by integrating AI into English and Chinese instruction.

Additionally, Net Corp is expanding a new learning platform combining video lessons with interactive AI. This platform helps learners save costs while still ensuring 100% effective interaction through an AI bot capable of responding to real-time questions.

The company currently has 60 employees, of which 40 are local workers with a monthly income of VND 7 - 12 million.

Aside from familiar ideas, young entrepreneurs are increasingly exploring "green" economic spaces, digitalizing services, optimizing user experience and creating sustainable values. Their initiatives reflect not only an entrepreneurial energy but also a commitment to creating long-term value for the community.
