DNO - Da Nang is emerging as one of Vietnam’s most inspiring examples of how culture, technology and human warmth can come together to redefine tourism.

Beyond its breathtaking beaches and vibrant festivals, the city is now making waves with a new digital transformation strategy that carries a deeply human touch.
According to Nguyen Nam Hai, CEO of TripC AI, digital transformation in tourism is not just about innovation, it’s about empathy and human connection.
This November, TripC is partnering with Da Nang to launch an electronic “experience passport”, a smart platform that connects visitors with the city’s treasures—from gastronomy and heritage to green tourism and cultural immersion.
Designed with multilingual features and real-time updates on prices, reviews, and services, the passport helps travelers explore with ease and confidence.
“I want travellers to say ‘wow’ when they experience Da Nang, amazed by its modern, transparent, and caring spirit”, Hai shared.
Alongside convenience, the initiative reflects the city’s vision of “human-centered technology,” where every interaction makes tourists feel safe, welcomed and understood.
Soon, the passport will include an AI-powered “Help” assistant, offering real-time support in emergencies such as accidents, lost items, or missing documents.
Through data-driven insights and constant updates, Da Nang aims to create not only a smart tourism platform but also an emotionally connected journey that embodies the warmth and sincerity of the “Da Nang - City of Humanity.”

At the same time, another digital initiative is reshaping Da Nang’s tourism landscape from the ground up. After 7 months in operation, Local Life Asia in Da Nang is shaping a distinctive story of green and sustainable tourism.
Founded by Tran Dang Huy, the platform connects travellers with local communities, emphasizing that sustainable tourism is not just individual experiences but a living ecosystem combining agriculture, cultural preservation and community livelihoods.
Originating from a tech idea, Local Life has evolved into a human-centered digital bridge, empowering locals to share authentic cultural stories and attract responsible travelers.
Huy and his team travel across villages and craft communities, linking passionate local hosts with visitors who value meaningful, slow travel.
He believes technology should amplify local voices and create emotional connections that encourage visitors to return and support sustainability. “A tech product with a soul must come from real experiences,” Huy said.
In December, Local Life Asia will roll out new features to strengthen the sustainable tourism supply chain, bringing authentic, life-inspired experiences closer to global travellers, helping Da Nang grow not only as a smart destination, but as a city of culture, compassion, and innovation.
