DNO - The Sunrise Events Vietnam, in collaboration with the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held a ceremony on Monday to honor outstanding athletes at the VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang and VNG IRONMAN Vietnam in 2026.

After completing the course in 4 hours, 2 minutes, and 22 seconds, athlete Rodrigo Acevedo from the Isle of Man won the first place in the men’s category at VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang 2026.
Vietnam’s Lam Quang Nhat finished second with a time of 4 hours, 13 minutes and 44 seconds, while Ryosuke Ohata from Japan came in third with a time of 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 36 seconds.
In the women's category, Daniela Rodriguez from Colombia claimed the first place with a time of 4 hours, 50 minutes, and 4 seconds.
Hyekyeong Seo from South Korea finished second at 4 hours, 59 minutes, and 41 seconds, followed closely by Ines Caby from France in third at 4 hours, 59 minutes, and 46 seconds.
At the VNG IRONMAN Vietnam 2026, Andrey Sharipov from Uzbekistan won the first place in the men's category with a time of 8 hours, 45 minutes, and 47 seconds.
The second place went to China’s Meng Yang with a time of 8 hours, 59 minutes and 01 seconds; and the third place went to Japanese athlete Joji Nitta with a time of 9 hours, 11 minutes and 26 seconds.
In the women's category, Hope Hoffman from the USA grabbed first place with a time of 9 hours, 49 minutes and 23 seconds.
Beibei Qiao from China claimed second place with a time of 10 hours and 36 seconds whilst Siming Ji, also from China, came third with a time of 10 hours, 3 minutes and 32 seconds.

Held in Vietnam for the first time, the VNG IRONMAN Vietnam 2026 featured a 3.8km swim, a 180km bike ride, and a 42km run.
The full-course event required athletes to maintain endurance, nutrition strategies, recovery capacity, and mental resilience throughout a grueling race lasting up to 17 continuous hours.
Meanwhile, 2026 season marked the 10th edition of VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Da Nang, a decade-long journey that has inspired and fostered the growth of Vietnam’s triathlon community.
Accordingly, domestic and international athletes competed in the 70.3 distance, consisting of 1.9km swimming, 90km cycling, and 21km running.
Along the beach and the race routes, a large crowd of locals and tourists cheered enthusiastically on competitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
