The city is drawing the attention of elite couples on the globe, particularly from India’s booming wedding tourism market.

Effective incentives to boost “wedding tourism”

As reported, in the 2024 - 2025 period, Da Nang has launched a pilot programme aimed at attracting high-spending wedding travellers.

Couples who host weddings or anniversaries in the city can receive exclusive incentives such as a complimentary honeymoon night at a five-star hotel, traditional Vietnamese art performances during the ceremony, flycam video services and cyclo city tours.

The city also offers assistance with customs procedures for imported wedding materials and free passes to major attractions, ensuring a seamless and memorable celebration experience.

Thanks to the above-mentioned attractive offers, Da Nang has hosted more than 10 international weddings, including 4 large-scale Indian weddings with up to 1,200 guests each, showing off its growing appeal as a high-end event destination.

Global spotlight from India’s luxury market

According to Kenny Lee Kim Yew, the Director Of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton Grand Danang Resort and Convention Centre, ultra-wealthy clients seek exclusivity, authenticity and cultural depth.

“For a billionaire couple earlier this year, we created a bespoke celebration with private beachfront venues, local cultural experiences, and meticulous service standards”, said Kenny Lee Kim Yew.

At the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort, Heekyung Chung, CHBA, the Executive Assistant Manager - Sales and Marketing, shared that a 50-member Indian famtrip of top wedding planners recently visited to explore local offerings.

“They were impressed by our private beachfront lawns, flexible ballrooms, and staff who understand Indian traditions,” she said, noting that cuisine was one of the highlights most praised by the delegation.
