Vietnam sets record with 100 delicacies made from rice noodles and vermicelli

Organised in Ho Chi Minh City until November 23, 2025, the event celebrates the richness and diversity of Vietnamese cuisine from north to south.

Nearly 100 booths showcased regional specialties, reflecting the country’s culinary heritage and creativity.

As reported by Vietnam News Agency, visitors are captivated by immersive spaces, including giant displays of traditional milling tools and three oversized noodle bowls, ‘pho’, ‘bun mam’ and ‘bun bo Hue’, each 80 cm in diameter.

The festival also features live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as making ‘banh tam’ (tapioca noodles) and handmade vermicelli, alongside a recreated traditional kitchen with rice and flour mills.

Guests have the rare opportunity to participate directly with skilled artisans, creating a hands-on cultural experience.

The festival offers a wide variety of iconic Vietnamese dishes, including Hanoi-style ‘bun cha’, ‘bun cha ca’, ‘bun bo Hue’, ‘bun oc’, ‘bun rieu’, ‘bun mam’, northern-style ‘pho’, ‘banh canh’, complemented by beverages such as ‘che’ and fresh fruit juices.

Beyond food, visitors could browse and purchase Vietnamese products from the nationwide OCOP (One Commune - One Product) programme and engage in traditional folk games from different regions.

The record-setting display of 100 rice noodle dishes was not only a technical challenge but also a tribute to Vietnamese culinary traditions, elevating familiar foods while maintaining regional authenticity and introducing modern creativity.
