DNO - According to a recent survey, Vietnam was among the most searched destinations by French travelers in 2026.

The result comes from a survey conducted in November 2025 with nearly 900 participants and released on March 11 by the organizers of the World Tourism Fair 2026 which is taking place in Paris from March 12 - 15.
The survey shows that 98% of residents in the Île-de-France region plan to travel in 2026, with a growing trend toward exploring international destinations.
In terms of destination preferences, Europe remains the most popular choice at 38%, while Asia ranks second with 28%, the highest level recorded since the survey was first conducted in 2019.
Among the most searched destinations are Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand, alongside familiar European destinations such as Italy and Spain.
According to the organizers of the World Tourism Fair, the results reflect a growing trend among French travelers seeking new destinations that offer rich cultural and natural experiences. Around 28% of survey participants said they are particularly interested in lesser-known or emerging destinations on the global tourism map.
Vietnam is considered one of the standout destinations in Asia thanks to its blend of cultural heritage, distinctive cuisine, and diverse natural landscapes.
At the World Tourism Fair 2026, Vietnam, together with several Asian countries such as Nepal, India, and Thailand, will be promoted as destinations offering rich and authentic travel experiences for international visitors.
