The decision comes amid a surge in demand for travel, tourism and family reunions across Vietnam’s North Central region.

According to the carrier’s plan, daily flights on the Vinh - Da Nang (VII-DAD) route and its return leg will be operated February 12 - 28, 2026. This period corresponds to the peak Tet travel window.

The reopening of the route follows the official resumption of operations at Vinh International Airport on December 19, 2025, after more than six months of suspension for infrastructure upgrades.

The restored airport capacity provides the necessary conditions for airlines to reintroduce routes serving growing regional travel demand.

Flight schedules are designed to accommodate Tet travel patterns. On the Vinh-Da Nang leg, flights are expected to depart at 1:05pm and arrive at 2:10pm.

In the opposite direction, flights from Da Nang to Vinh are scheduled to depart at 07:00am and land at 08:05am.

Services will focus on two peak phases: February 12 - 15, 2026, ahead of Lunar New Year’s Eve, and February 18 - 28, covering the main post-holiday travel period.

In addition to the existing Vinh - Hanoi and Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City routes, the resumption of the Vinh - Da Nang connection is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Nghe An Province and major economic and tourism hubs in central Vietnam.

Tourism stakeholders view the move as a positive signal for the 2026 Lunar New Year travel market.

Da Nang continues to enhance its destination appeal by expanding visitor experiences and strengthening links with nearby heritage sites such as Hoi An, the My Son Sanctuary and surrounding cultural areas.

These connections are expected to help diversify travel options and encourage longer stays during the holiday period.

Supported by ongoing upgrades to aviation infrastructure and the steady expansion of Vietnam’s domestic flight network, the resumption of inter-regional air routes such as Vinh - Da Nang is expected to provide fresh momentum for domestic tourism in 2026, contributing to a vibrant travel season from the very start of the forthcoming Tet holiday.
