University of Da Nang cooperates with enterprises to develop high technology

DNO - Twenty-one cooperation agreements on hi-tech and strategic technologies were signed between universities and enterprises at the university-enterprise cooperation forum held in Da Nang on Monday.

The forum with the theme "Tripartite cooperation in training and research high technology and strategic technology" took place in Da Nang on Monday.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the University of Da Nang.

It attracted nearly 120 delegates from agencies, organizations, associations, and enterprises operating in the fields of hi-tech and strategic technologies, along with leaders of 50 higher education and vocational institutions with strengths in technology training and research.

During the forum, 21 cooperation agreements were signed between universities nationwide including the University of Da Nang, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Duy Tan University, the Da Nang University of Science and Technology, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, and the Da Nang University of Technology and Education, and many corporations and enterprises such as the Vietnam Railways Corporation, Hoa Phat, Thaco, Navigos Group, CT Group, Mitsubishi Electric, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical, and Panasonic.

Under the agreements, the sides will focus on training and conducting research in strategic and priority fields such as artificial intelligence; blockchain; big data, cloud computing, quantum; next-generation mobile networks (5G/6G); robotics and automation technology; semiconductor chips; energy technology, advanced materials; aviation and space technology; and rare earth technology, ocean, underground and cyber security.

Speaking at the forum, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said that comprehensive and synchronous cooperation between the state - schools - businesses is the "golden key" to turn policies on science - technology development, innovation, and building high-quality human resources into reality.

The three subjects must work together and support each other to create a combined strength, thereby creating breakthroughs in high-tech and strategic technology fields that the country is prioritizing, he emphasized.
