(QNO) - Activities in response to Vietnam Sea and Island Week and World Oceans Day 2025 (June 8) will be actively organized by local departments and sectors across Quang Nam province from May 30 to June 30, 2025.
The Quang Nam Department of Agriculture and Environment will organize activities from May 30 to June 30 in response to Vietnam Sea and Island Week (June 1 - 8) and World Oceans Day (June 8), themed “Awaken New Depths: Sustaining What Sustains Us.”
Vietnam’s national theme, “Green Technology for a Sustainable Ocean,” underscores the importance of science, innovation, and green solutions in marine conservation and sustainable development.
Events across the province will raise awareness of Vietnam’s maritime rights, promote national strategies on marine economy and spatial planning, and encourage responsible use of ocean resources.
Activities include clean-up campaigns, scientific forums, and expanded waste-sorting models in coastal areas to reduce plastic pollution and protect marine biodiversity.
