With its outstanding cultural values, landscapes, ecological environment, and strong community cohesion, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village was honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the “Best Community-Based Tourism Destination in 2025”. The recognition opens up new expectations and opportunities for the village within an newly-expanded development space.

Established nearly 500 years ago, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An Tay Ward is renowned not only for its pottery products serving the daily lives of local people, but also for its distinctive cultural space where artisanal labor, folk aesthetics, and indigenous knowledge accumulated over generations converge.

Notably, the unique value of the Thanh Ha Pottery Village lies in the close connection between people, land, fire, the river, and the rural landscape, together creating a vibrant cultural whole.

In 2014, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village was officially recognized as a provincial-level craft village. In 2019, Thanh Ha pottery craft was honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

More than 20 years after the restoration and development project was approved, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village has become a representative craft village tourism destination of Da Nang and the country as a whole.
