DNO - Tan Thanh Beach Village Festival 2026 – Tan Thanh Block Fest 2026 will take place on August 8-9 at Tan Thanh Fishing Village Market on Nguyen Phan Vinh Street in Hoi An, Da Nang.
The two-day festival carries the theme "Sea Festival – Connecting Culture and Community". It transforms a coastal fishing village into a vibrant cultural gathering, inviting visitors to experience Da Nang heritage, community spirit and sustainable tourism in Da Nang.
More than a traditional seaside event, it showcases the rich cultural diversity of the Da Nang land, linking coastal traditions with the mountainous heritage of the region while creating new tourism experiences for domestic and international visitors.
The event is funded through community contributions, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable tourism development.
Once known simply for its weekend seaside market, Tan Thanh has evolved into a cultural destination where local stories, traditional crafts and regional specialties come together.
The festival aims to strengthen connections between Da Nang and neighboring heritage destinations while fostering meaningful exchanges between local communities and visitors from around the world.
A highlight of this year's event is the participation of leading cultural and tourism destinations.
Included are the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Preservation, My Son Sanctuary, Tra Van Commune, Dong Giang Heaven Gate Ecotourism Area, Dai Binh Ecological Village, Bai Say Song Dam Ecotourism Area, Loc Yen Ancient Village.
Joining them are artisans, performers, tourism operators and community groups representing the diverse cultural identity of Central Vietnam.
The festival is expected to feature 80 to 100 stalls offering vintage items, handmade crafts, locally made products, OCOP-certified specialties and regional cuisine.
Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of interactive experiences, including painting traditional conical hats, decorating areca palm fans, handicraft workshops, sailing experiences on Tan Thanh Beach with Hoi An Flow, and dance sessions organized by FitOi.
Street performances, family-friendly activities and community art programs will further enrich the festive atmosphere, inviting visitors to experience local life rather than simply observe it. Sustainability remains a central focus throughout the event.
Organizers are promoting an environmentally friendly market model that prioritizes local products, minimizes plastic waste and encourages responsible tourism.
Also, Tan Thanh Block Fest will host discussions on community-based tourism, indigenous values and green destination development, providing a platform for tourism stakeholders across Da Nang and Quang to exchange ideas and strengthen regional cooperation.
The Tan Thanh Fishing Village Tourism Community and its market have previously received the ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Award and a 4-star OCOP certification, demonstrating international recognition of its community-led tourism model.
The festival is expected to attract around 1,000 domestic and international visitors over the two-day event.
More importantly, Tan Thanh eyes for becoming a long-term cultural meeting point where every destination shares its story, every local product reflects regional identity, and every visitor becomes part of an authentic journey through the culture, people and coastal lifestyle of central Vietnam.
