DNO - The Da Nang Museum organized a game tour called “Tourane Street Corner” on Sunday, aimed at taking the public back in time to explore the city’s heritage during the French colonial period.
The game tour combined learning and playing in a teambuilding format, helping to connect family members and raise their awareness of cultural heritage preservation.
Participants were taken to four locations: Tourane Governor’s Palace (now 42 Bach Dang building), the oldest signpost in Da Nang, the Dien Hai Citadel special national relic, and the Da Nang Museum.
At each location, the teams were introduced to the history of the site and given challenges designed by the organizers. The teams earned points and collected pieces to create a 2D model of the 42 Bach Dang building by overcoming the program's challenges.
Instead of the traditional form of sightseeing as before, this activity received a active response and high appreciation from the public.
Joining the game tour with her family, Giang Le Thuy Lam residing in Hai Chau Ward, shared "The program is very useful. It gives me a chance to directly experience and learn about a lot of historical knowledge that I only saw on TV or read in books and newspapers before".
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lai, a resident of An Khe Ward, commented that this was a very good and meaningful activity. It not only brought history to life, and helped participants understand more about Da Nang in the past, but also created a playground for everyone to have moments of relaxation and healthy entertainment.
The game tour “Tourane Street Corner” is a new and useful experiential educational activity hosted by the Da Nang Museum.
Its purpose is to enrich the form of sightseeing and learning about history and culture for locals and tourists. At the same time, it contributes to gradually turning the Da Nang Museum into a community learning center that encourages the public's exploration and creativity.
