The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu and Mayor of Hamyang County Jin Byung Young.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu said that Da Nang has been mobilizing social resources to donate and plant coconut trees along local beaches since late 2024. The purpose was to create more green spaces along the coastline, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and reduce coastal erosion and landslides.

After nearly two years of implementation, the program has received strong support from numerous agencies, organizations and businesses. A large number of coconut trees have been contributed to help create greener, more attractive and sustainable beach landscapes, he added.
