Scientific conference CITA connects international scientists

DNO - The 14th edition of the Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA) 2025 took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on July 14 and 15.

The two-day event was organized by the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) - the University of Da Nang in collaboration with the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), the ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR) and the Vietnam Association of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU Vietnam). It attracted many scientists from more than 30 countries around the world.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, who is Rector of VKU, Head of the Organizing Committee, Founding Chair of CITA, and Co-founder of ACIR, noted that over the past 14 years, CITA has become a prestigious international academic forum, connecting research communities in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy. It has also served as a bridge to spread knowledge, promote innovation, and contribute to boosting digital transformation in the Southeast Asian region.

Initiated in 2012, CITA is a series of scientific conferences on information technology and applications in various fields hosted annually by VKU. This year's event marked a remarkable step forward in the scale and quality of an international conference.

At the closing ceremony of CITA 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap officially launched the call for papers for CITA 2026 and handed over the rotating flag to a representative of Phenikaa University in Ha Noi which will host the event in Ha Long, Viet Nam, in July 2026.
