Russian tourists continue flocking to Vietnam as preferred destination

DNO - Despite recent unfavorable weather conditions across several Vietnamese provinces, Russian travel agencies report no tour cancellations, and bookings remain steady, underscoring Vietnam’s enduring appeal to Russian tourists.

As reported by Vietnam News Agency, Artur Muradyan, CEO of Space Travel, noted that weather has had little impact on resort operations.

Beyond the traditional favorite of Nha Trang, Russian travellers are increasingly exploring alternative destinations this winter, including Phu Quoc and Phan Thiet, seeking milder conditions and fresh experiences.

In a similar vein, Andrey Podkolzin, Head of Public Relations at ITM Group, stated that while floods have affected beaches from Nha Trang to Phu Yen and Quy Nhon, damage to hotels and resorts has been limited.

Cleanup efforts are underway to ensure beaches are ready for visitors, minimizing disruption to the holiday experience.

According to the Russian Travel Industry Association (RTI), Vietnam remains among the top destinations for package tours in 2025, with many popular hotels fully booked for the 2026 New Year holidays.

Data from Russia’s Federal Security Service also shows that Russian arrivals in Vietnam in the first nine months of 2025 surged fivefold, from 20,600 to 153,000 visitors, highlighting the strong and growing travel trend.

Vietnam continues to demonstrate its status as a leading winter destination for international travellers, combining natural beauty, high-quality resort services, and reliable visitor safety even under challenging weather conditions.

Da Nang to welcome 72,000 Russian, CIS tourists on charter flights in 2026

A total of 72,000 tourists from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will visit Da Nang on charter flights next year.

The charter routes will operate from April 1 to October 31, 2026, connecting Da Nang with 14 cities in Russia and the CIS, according to Anex Vietnam.

Approximately 70 flights are scheduled each month, transporting around 13,000 passengers, who are expected to stay in Vietnam for an average of more than 10 nights.
