(QNO) - The Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific championship is taking place in Vietnam for the first time, attracting 95 athletes from 24 countries and territories around the world.
The Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) championship takes place from March 6 to March 9, 2025, at Hoiana Shores Golf Club.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, the WAAP championship 2025 has four rounds of stroke play, which cuts on the principle of empowerment to continue to the top 50 group of achievements after two rounds. As the host country, Vietnam has six representatives
The WAAP championship winner will earn spots in three prestigious women's professional golf majors in 2025: the AIG Women's Open, the Amundi Evian Championship, and The Chevron Championship.
The champion also earns entry into prestigious tournaments such as the Hana Financial Group Championship, ISPS Handa Australian Open, Women's Amateur Championship, Augusta National Women's Amateur.
Established in 2018 by the Royal & Ancient and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, the WAAP championship nurtures talent and offers top female amateurs a platform to compete internationally and advance their careers.
