Quang Nam explores investment opportunities in Jilin

(QNO) - On May 12, a delegation from Quang Nam (Vietnam), led by provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, visited Jilin (China) and had a working session with Beiyao (Northern Medicine) Group, a leading Chinese pharmaceutical corporation.

The delegation included officials from various sectors of Quang Nam, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong, and representatives from other businesses.

During the visit, the delegation explored Beiyao Group’s facilities, including its quality control centre and traditional medicine centre.

Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet thanked the Jilin authorities and Beiyao Group for their warm welcome and hospitality, expressing the hope that the visit would foster deeper cooperation between the two localities in various fields, including medicinal herbs, particularly Ngoc Linh ginseng.

The Quang Nam delegation highlighted the province’s strengths, including its rich medicinal plant resources, and emphasised the potential for collaboration, particularly in the cultivation, processing, and production of herbal products.

Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet underscored the role of THACO Group, a leading industrial corporation in Quang Nam, as a key partner in this development.

Both parties agreed on the potential for further cooperation, with several projects in Quang Nam aligning with Beiyao Group’s focus on medicinal plants. These include the establishment of a ginseng quality control lab, a biotechnology centre, and sustainable forestry projects.

Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet invited Jilin businesses to visit Quang Nam and attend the International Ngoc Linh ginseng festival in August 2025.

On this occasion, the delegation witnessed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between THACO Group and two corporations in Jilin, Beiyao and Fuhua, to strengthen future partnerships.
