(QNO) - Quang Nam province has just made tourism regulations to conserve marine and forest biodiversity, natural resources, cultural and historical features in Cham Islands- a World Biosphere Reserve in Tan Hiep commune, Hoi An city.

Accordingly, the regulations are applied to Cham Islands residents, tourists, businesses and national agencies that work in tourism activities for sustainable tourism development in this area.

Since being recognized as the World Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO, Cham Islands has maintained a balance between conservation and development, changing the locals’ awareness. However, it still faces several challenges threating to the environment, landscapes, ecosystems and biodiversity and livelihood development for the locals.
