This center started construction in 2018 with a total investment of 6.5 billion VND, funded by Da Nang City. The facility includes a two-story building with five classrooms. Each year, the city dispatches two teachers to the center for teaching the Vietnamese language.
Since 2018, the center has organized basic Vietnamese language courses for key officials from Sekong's departments and agencies, as well as for Lao nationals and members of the Vietnamese community living in this province.

Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council, Nguyen Duc Dung, expressed his deep feelings during his visit to the center.
He appreciated the center's staff and teachers' efforts, dedication, and responsibility, as well as the active support from Sekong's departments and agencies. All contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of teaching the Vietnamese language in this province.
This center, including only six members, has organized training for various groups of learners, ranging from students to officials at different levels. The learners have been equipped with foundational knowledge of the Vietnamese language, which enables them to pursue further studies in Vietnam.

Nguyen Duc Dung said Da Nang and Sekong will continue to implement cooperation programs in various fields of education and training, agriculture, and healthcare with a focus on specialized development during the 2026–2030 period. Therefore, the center needs to promote appropriate training programs.
On this occasion, Da Nang City provided 10 million VND in support to the center and presented gifts to the two teachers dispatched to teach there.

On the same day, the Da Nang delegation visited the late Bo Nhon (Le Viet Muong)’s family and paid tribute to him. He used to be Secretary and Governor of Sekong Province. He made significant contributions to the revolutionary cause and the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

Comrade Bo Nhon (Le Viet Muong) was born in 1928 in Cam Nam Commune, Hoi An City (formerly Quang Nam Province), now Hoa An Dong Ward, Da Nang City. In 1948, he was sent to Laos to support fighting for Southern Laos' liberation.

Throughout his working life, he made significant contributions to the development of Sekong Province in particular and Laos in general.
He served as a bridge and a noble symbol of Vietnam-Laos friendship, helping to strengthen the special ties between the provinces of Southern Laos and Central Vietnam, particularly between Sekong Province and Da Nang City.
