This event followed the Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2025, aiming to strengthen Vietnam - Japan ties and expand cooperation in culture, tourism, investment, and media between Quang Nam - Da Nang and Nagasaki.

Present at the event were leaders from Nagasaki Centre for Tourism Promotion, Japanese travel companies, airlines, investors, and representatives from Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Vietnam Airlines.

Deputy Director Van Ba Son presented key attractions: Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites), Cu Lao Cham Biosphere Reserve, wellness tourism, local craft villages, and Da Nang’s high-quality coastal tourism.

Vietnam Airlines introduced plans for direct flights between Japanese cities and Da Nang, improving travel convenience. Vietnam’s visa exemption of up to 45 days for Japanese visitors also encourages longer, more flexible stays.

A B2B networking session allowed Japanese and Vietnamese businesses to explore partnerships and develop Japan-focused tour products.

Takaaki Hisano of Nagasaki Transportation Group emphasised the importance of such events in improving access to reliable travel information. His company will share Quang Nam-Da Nang tourism information across its outlets in Nagasaki.

Quang Nam committed to supporting joint tourism development and invited Japanese investment in ecotourism, resorts, smart tourism, education, and healthcare.
