For railway travel, the discount is applied with two routes: the Hue -Phong Nha train and its return journey, as well as the Hue - Da Nang steam locomotive train and its return journey.

Eligible beneficiaries include both domestic and international passengers who have actually travelled on these routes and participated in sightseeing and tourism activities in Hue City.

The five heritage sites eligible for the 50% admission fee discount are the Hue Imperial Citadel, the Museum of Royal Antiquities, the Tomb of King Thieu Tri, the Tomb of King Duc Duc, and the Tomb of King Dong Khanh.

Recently, two scenic train journeys connecting Da Nang with other Vietnamese destinations have been named among the world’s top 20 best train trips for 2026 as voted by readers of U.S. travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Central Heritage Connection rail route between Hue and Da Nang ranked 10th, while The Vietage by Anantara, connecting Da Nang with Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, secured 14th.

More than a means of transport, the train provides a distinctive travel experience that harmoniously blends natural scenery with local culture and traditional arts.
