This initiative contributed to expanding international artistic exchange and enriching cultural experiences for both local residents and visitors.
The program was part of the Da Nang Art Creatives Connection 2026 (DACC 2026) event, which runs from October 30 to November 8 under the theme "History of Tomorrow".
Held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, the program included a showcase of photography projects and a discussion on contemporary photographic practices in Southeast Asia.
According to the organizers, the screening, selected by Objectifs, presented recent projects by five artists who have received the Objectifs Documentary Photography Award. With these works, the public gains access to diverse perspectives on life, people, and social issues across Southeast Asia, while exploring creative trends in contemporary photography.
Objectifs is an independent non-profit visual arts space, which was established in Singapore in 2023 and specializes in the fields of photography and film. Through exhibitions, educational programs, mentorship, and creative support, it fosters the development of the Southeast Asian photography community.
Integrating international artistic exchange activities into the Da Nang Museum space helps diversify cultural experiences and adds a compelling dimension to urban tourism.
Alongside merely contemplating exhibits, visitors have the opportunity to engage with contemporary art, meet artists, and explore the cultural narratives of the region.
Through DACC 2026, Da Nang aims to strengthen connections among domestic and international art organizations, leverage the role of museums as creative spaces, and progressively integrate cultural activities with the city’s tourism development and cultural industries.
