Da Nang's Hoi An to host artistic Asia-Europe Dialogue
DNO - A three-day artistic program will offer a cultural space where Eastern and Western performing arts converge, with free admission for local residents and visitors.

The Asia-Europe Dialogue: A Fusion of Art and Cultural Connection will be held at Hoi An Theater, located at 47 Phan Chau Trinh Street, Hoi An Ward, from November 12 - 14.
Co-organized by the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB), the event aims to celebrate outstanding artistic traditions and bring together the diverse cultural expressions of the East and West.
The performances will begin at 7:00 pm each evening and feature 20 professional artistes from VNOB.
Through various art forms, including contemporary dance, opera and ballet, the program will showcase diverse performance styles, blending the finest elements of world art with traditional Vietnamese cultural materials.
A highlight of the program is the contemporary dance piece “Firefly Season”, which recreates a poetic setting where the glow of fireflies blends with the emotions of humans and the natural world. Through expressive body movements, the performance evokes the simple yet profound beauty of everyday life.
Additionally, the audiences will be treated to famous opera arias by world-renowned composers and the ballet performance “Dong Ho” inspired by traditional Vietnamese folk paintings.
The combination of Western classical performing arts and indigenous cultural elements creates a unique artistic dialogue, helping bring traditional cultural values closer to contemporary audiences.
According to the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, the program aims to expand public access to the arts as well as provide artists with opportunities to interact, exchange ideas and share creative values.
It is also expected to make better use of Hoi An Theater, gradually positioning the venue as a regular space for performances, cultural exchanges and artistic creativity.
