This helped strengthen DANAFF's international profile and promote Da Nang as an emerging destination for film events and creative industries.

The program brought together more than 300 guests, including representatives of film organizations, producers, distributors, artists and international partners.

It provided a platform to highlight the development of Vietnamese cinema, as well as foster exchanges and explore opportunities for cooperation in film production, distribution and industry events.

At the event, DANAFF was introduced as an annual international film festival hosted in Da Nang, with a mission to strengthen connections between Vietnamese cinema and the wider Asian and global film communities.

The festival’s presence in Tokyo offered an opportunity to reach a broader network of filmmakers, industry professionals and international film organizations, laying the groundwork for further engagement and collaboration in future editions.

The promotion also extended to TIFFCOM 2026, the audiovisual content market held alongside the Tokyo International Film Festival.

The Vietnam Film Development Association introduced the upcoming fifth edition of DANAFF, alongside Vietnam’s potential as a filming destination.

Da Nang was highlighted for its diverse filming locations, tourism resources and favorable conditions for film production, positioning the city as an attractive setting for both cinematic storytelling and international filmmaking projects.

By linking film festival promotion with destination marketing, Da Nang is pursuing opportunities to strengthen its cultural industries and expand its presence in the international film landscape.

Through Vietnam Night and industry networking activities in Tokyo, DANAFF is continuing to build international recognition while promoting Da Nang as a dynamic destination for cinema, creativity and cultural exchange.

The growing international outreach is expected to create new opportunities for film partnerships, professional exchanges and future projects, further enhancing DANAFF’s role as a bridge connecting Vietnamese cinema with the region and the world.
