New tour in November to explore Da Nang Museum
DNO - Da Nang Museum will organize guided exploration tours from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on November 1 and 8 for visitors who register for an immersive museum experience.
According to the Da Nang Museum, the tours will offer an in-depth exploration led by its own staff, uncovering stories and layers of information that a regular visit may not allow enough time to discover.
As they move through the exhibition floors, participants will trace connections between artifacts, photographs and archival materials to explore the historical, cultural and social aspects that have shaped Da Nang from the past to the present.
Apart from simply viewing the exhibits, visitors will be encouraged to “read” the artifacts, ask questions about the contexts in which they were created, and listen to the stories behind the museum’s selection, arrangement and interpretation of history.
The tour will also invite participants to explore questions about the museum’s spaces such as why this particular building was chosen to house Da Nang Museum.
The “Decoding Da Nang Museum” tour offers a fresh perspective on both the museum and the city, where the past is re-examined through traces that remain visible in Da Nang today.
