Da Nang currently has 63 industrial clusters that are either operational or undergoing procedures to commence operations, with a total existing area of more than 1,760 hectares.

According to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, of these 63 industrial clusters, five have basically met legal and infrastructure requirements; 22 have largely met legal requirements but have yet to complete their infrastructure; 26 have yet to complete either legal procedures or infrastructure; six face legal issues requiring review, adjustments or consideration for removal from the development plan; and four are operating without official establishment decisions.

Under its master plan through 2030, the city is expected to have 115 industrial clusters covering more than 4,524 hectares.

This represents a significant land reserve for industrial production, distributed across multiple localities. It is expected to help drive economic restructuring and boost local manufacturing.

To turn its industrial cluster network into a driver of production growth, Da Nang needs to shift its focus from expanding in scale to improving investment quality and operational efficiency.

The allocation of resources should be based on the level of legal readiness, actual demand, and the capacity to attract businesses.

At the same time, obstacles related to planning, site clearance, infrastructure, environmental protection and post-investment management must be addressed in a coordinated manner.
