Da Nang is striving toward a goal where the city's digital economy contributes 27% to its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), helping to achieve double-digit GRDP growth in 2026. In which, e-commerce and digital payments play a vital role in expanding the market and enhancing the competitiveness of the local businesses.
According to the 2025 Vietnam E-Business Index (EBI) report by the Vietnam E-commerce Association, Da Nang ranked third nationwide, just after Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the seminar, participants focused on discussing and proposing solutions to develop an e-commerce ecosystem.
Also, they exchanged how to promote secure and convenient digital payments and models for integrating e-commerce with tourism, services, the night-time economy, and local product promotion while accelerating the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations.
Dr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Director of the QSAC noted that e-commerce should help businesses reach a broader customer base, particularly outside Da Nang, while simultaneously enhancing supply capabilities and service quality.
