Da Nang plans public garden on Tran Phu Street
DNO - Da Nang plans to develop a public garden on a 1,750-square-metre public land plot at No. 2 Tran Phu Street in Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang, adding a community space and a new landscape feature along the Han River.

The proposed HanBloom Garden is envisioned as a community flower garden incorporating artistic lighting inspired by fireworks bursting over the Han River.
Under the preliminary landscape design, the site would include a main entrance, a multi-purpose plaza, grass-covered seating steps, an 82.5-square-metre stage, an outdoor exercise area, a bougainvillea pergola, decorative lighting columns and public seating.

Facilities would also be provided to support traffic safety. The central plaza and stage are designed to accommodate community activities on a scale appropriate to the site.
The grass-covered steps would provide a place for visitors to rest while offering views towards the garden’s central area.
An outdoor exercise zone would diversify the garden’s functions, while the bougainvillea pergola, seating and decorative features would enhance its visual appeal and usability.

The preliminary plan also provides for a main entrance, secondary access points and internal circulation routes connected to the surrounding road network.
Primary and secondary pedestrian routes would be clearly defined, with traffic safety bollards and other facilities intended to support safe access and movement throughout the site.

Greenery would be arranged in a controlled, naturalistic style, combining flowing landscape elements with a neat overall layout.
Continuous green strips along the walkways and tropical plants in the background would add depth and create an enclosed garden atmosphere.
Flowering plants and colors would be used selectively to introduce visual interest while maintaining harmony across the landscape.

The city plans to develop the public park through socialized investment, mobilizing resources beyond the public budget.
By combining green space, community facilities and artistic lighting, HanBloom Garden aims to create an additional public gathering place along the Han River, enhancing the urban landscape, and enriching the everyday experience of residents and visitors.
