He added that the cooperation agreement signed between the Da Nang Party Committee and the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee in April 2025 provided an important foundation for both sides to expand their cooperation.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan also briefed Yunnan’s officials on an overview of Da Nang's socio-economic development, its expanded development space, and its great potential for industrial development, trade, logistics and tourism.
Approval to establish an international financial center and a free trade zone has opened up new development opportunities for Da Nang, he noted.

He, therefore, hoped to turn these complementary strengths into concrete programs and projects that will benefit businesses and residents in both Da Nang and Yunnan.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan proposed five key areas of cooperation with Yunnan Province, including the training and professional development of officials; and Yunnan’s experience in free trade zone management, one-stop administrative services, customs coordination and cross-border e-commerce development.
