Da Nang Art Creatives Connection 2026 promotes community connection and cultural creativity
DNO - A diverse range of creative cultural activities under the Da Nang Art Creatives Connection (DACC) 2026 will be held across the city in celebration of Vietnam Cultural Day (November 24).
The initiative aims to foster collaboration and create a space for exchange among artists and the creative community. It also helps create new cultural values and shape Da Nang’s identity as a city of “heritage, creativity and distinctive character”.

Gradually fostering a creative ecosystem
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang Art Creatives Connection (DACC) 2026 will take place from October 30 to November 8 at the Da Nang Museum and the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture.
Designed to become an annual event, the cultural, artistic, and creative program contributes developing the city’s creative ecosystem as well as expanding opportunities for exchange and connection with other localities across Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region.
Under the theme “History of Tomorrow”, DACC 2026 will feature over 30 activities, including exhibitions, contemporary dance performances, workshops, art tours, panel discussions and networking events.
The program will bring together artists, curators, artisans, cultural organizations and creative communities from Vietnam and other countries in the region.
Through the event, the city aims to make more effective use of its cultural institutions and connect heritage with contemporary urban spaces. It also seeks to establish a platform for artistic collaboration and gradually develop Da Nang’s creative ecosystem.

Expanding connections and opening new horizons
Throughout the event, local and international artists, artisans and creative communities will have opportunities to engage in activities inspired by heritage, local identity and cultural spaces.
In particular, the exhibition “Following the Path” will present contemporary artworks which offer the artists’ perspectives on history, family memories and the passage of time, helping connect heritage with contemporary creative practices.
Meanwhile, the exhibition “While the Water Still Flows” will explore local history, culture and identity through contemporary photography, with a focus on water, memory, community life and the relationship between people and their living environments.
The “The Soul of Bamboo in Hoi An” exhibition will showcase the value of traditional craftsmanship through bamboo sculptures and installation art.
Additionally, other exhibitions, including “Truc Chi”, “Harmony”, “The Forest Lives On in the Film Roll” and “The Charm of Three Regions” will connect traditional values with innovative forms of artistic expression, creating opportunities for audiences to listen, explore and engage more deeply with culture.
There also will be many distinctive artistic performances. One highlight will be “X-Project”, a contemporary dance production combining movement, sound and installation art.
Inspired by Champa cultural values, the work explores the connection between heritage and contemporary art, offering audiences new artistic experiences.
Another highlight will be “Dialogue with Heritage”, an artistic program that combines traditional music with sound, lighting and contemporary artistic expression.
In addition, the event will offer a variety of public engagement activities, including the “Curator Tour”, “Museum Heritage Tour” and “Artist Tour”.
Through these activities, residents and visitors can gain a deeper understanding of local culture, particularly Champa culture, through woodblock printing sessions selected and guided by the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, where participants can try the technique firsthand on paper.
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, DACC 2026 is only the first step toward establishing a platform for artistic collaboration and creativity in the city. The initiative aims to strengthen the role of cultural institutions and creative communities in urban development.
In the coming years, DACC will continue expanding its network to other parts of Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and creating multidimensional dialogues on how communities and cities can preserve and nurture their distinctive identities amid ongoing development and innovation.
