Da Nang People's Court seeks cooperation with China's courts
DNO - A delegation from China, led by Chief Justice and President of the Supreme People's Court Zhang Jun, recently had a working visit to the People's Court of Da Nang on the occasion of attending the 4th ASEAN - China Justice Forum.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh, along with representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang and relevant departments, agencies, and sectors.
At the reception, Chief Justice of the Da Nang People's Court Nguyen Chi Cong informed his guests of its organizational structure and operations, an agency responsible for exercising judicial power within the city.
The court consistently prioritizes innovating its organizational structure and operational methods, enhancing management and administrative efficiency, strengthening discipline and order while building a team of officials and judges with political steadfastness, ethical integrity, professional competence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Alongside, the court focuses on improving the quality of litigation while fostering coordination with internal affairs, judicial, and other relevant agencies to ensure that court rulings are objective, fair, and lawful. This meets the requirements of upholding justice and serving the people while contributing to national development and building.
The court is taking decisive steps toward digital transformation and the application of information technology in judicial operations.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong said, in the coming time, the Da Nang People's Court hoped to exchange experiences and further strengthen its cooperation with China's courts in such fields as court organization and operations, management and administration, digital transformation, electronic proceedings, smart courts, adjudication quality, and human resource training.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Justice and President of the Supreme People's Court of China Zhang Jun thanked the Da Nang administration and court officials for the warm welcome. He expressed his admiration for the city's landscape, vitality, and development and his hope for the city's continued achievements in the years ahead.

According to Mr. Zhang Jun, the judicial cooperation between Vietnam and China has gained positive progress in recent years. The two sides should continue to strengthen coordination and exchange experience, enabling Vietnamese local courts to use judicial cooperation to promote economic and social development between the two countries.
The judicial sector should therefore play an active role in coordinating and advancing this cooperation, particularly by effectively implementing the joint statements issued at the recent 4th ASEAN - China Justice Forum.
