Da Nang promotes film potential at Busan film market
DNO - Da Nang is promoting its filmmaking potential and expanding international industry connections at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), held from October 9 to 13 as part of the 31st Busan International Film Festival in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Da Nang showcases film locations
The Da Nang People’s Committee, in coordination with the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA), has organized a promotional booth to introduce the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) and highlight the city’s advantages and development strategy for the film industry.
The initiative provides an opportunity to present Da Nang to international film professionals and explore partnerships that could bring more film productions to the city.
The promotional space features photographs, videos and publications showcasing Da Nang’s natural landscapes, scenic attractions and potential filming locations, alongside locally distinctive products.
Through these displays, the Vietnamese city is presenting itself as a dynamic destination with considerable creative potential and a diverse range of settings for film production.
Its landscape encompasses beaches, mountains, rivers, modern urban areas, and distinctive cultural and heritage sites, offering filmmakers a variety of backdrops for different genres and production requirements.

Strengthens international film partnerships
Participation in ACFM is also intended to strengthen connections with domestic and international producers, directors, film studios, distributors, investors, and film organizations.
Da Nang hopes to identify opportunities for collaboration, attract production crews to conduct location scouting and encourage filmmakers to select the city as a filming destination.
In addition to promotion, exchanges at the market provide an opportunity for the city to learn from international experience in developing film-support mechanisms, streamlining filming procedures, training industry professionals, and building service networks for film production.
These areas are important to creating a more favorable environment for filmmakers and strengthening the local film industry’s capacity to serve domestic and international productions.
Da Nang’s participation in ACFM aims to strengthen international partnerships and create opportunities for the city to engage more deeply in regional and global film production and distribution.
By connecting film industry development with cultural and tourism promotion, the initiative also helps raise Da Nang’s international profile and advance its ambition to build a supportive environment for filmmaking, creativity, and the growth of cultural industries.
