AEF 2026 would take place at ThiskyHall Convention Center in An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is expected to attract around 1,500 delegates from Vietnam and abroad, representing the public and private sectors, academia, international organizations, and innovation ecosystems.
Speaking at a recent briefing with media outlets, Le Truong Duy, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), said the forum would feature four days of activities.
Outstandingly, the main events on October 27 and 28 will be co-branded with the WEF, marking a new development in the forum’s organization. This is a rare occasion on which the WEF has participated in a program as a co-branding partner.
The forum’s official title is “Autumn Economic Forum 2026 - Convergence of New Global Growth Engines”, with the theme “Collaboration in a New Era”.
AEF 2026 will examine the forces reshaping the global economy, including technological breakthroughs, digital transformation, green transition, innovation, finance, value chains and emerging cooperation models.
Its agenda is built around four strategic pillars: the role of megacities; breakthrough technologies and innovation ecosystems; new models of cooperation; and the private sector’s pioneering role.
The program is designed to foster dialogue among governments, businesses, and experts, connect policy priorities with business needs, and open up opportunities for investment, strategic alliances and technology transfer.
It also seeks to link global trends and agendas with Vietnam’s development priorities. Activities will unfold progressively over the four days.
This year’s forum will focus on creating a platform for dialogue among governments, businesses and experts, while promoting investment and technology transfer between Vietnam and other countries. Cooperation with the WEF will also help align the global agenda with Vietnam’s development priorities.
