Applications open for Scale Next program
DNO - The Da Nang Centre for Startup and Innovation Support, under the municipal Department of Science and Technology, is inviting and recommending projects to participate in Scale Next, a national-level program designed to commercialize technology and intellectual property (IP).
The program is jointly implemented by the National Academy of Technology and Innovation (NACENTECH), the National Centre for Innovative Entrepreneurship (NSSC), both under the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology, and venture capital firm Quest Ventures.
Scale Next aims to help Vietnamese scientists, research teams and IP owners bring promising technologies closer to the market. It also connects commercially promising technologies, research outcomes and IP assets with businesses, experts, investors and other resources across the innovation ecosystem.
Participating projects will receive specialized training and in-depth mentoring in IP commercialization and business development. They will also have opportunities to connect with domestic and international experts, businesses and investors, strengthen their fundraising capabilities, and prepare to engage with potential investors.
In addition, Quest Ventures will consider investing in projects following the program, provided they meet its investment criteria and pass the due diligence process.
The Da Nang Centre for Startup and Innovation Support will nominate 10 scientific research projects for consideration for Scale Next. These projects will receive priority in the initial application screening process.
