DNO - For travelers choosing where to eat, shop or unwind, certified tourism service providers can offer a trusted reference. In Da Nang, several establishments meeting the city’s tourism service standards have earned prestigious awards and strengthened both their reputation and the city’s image as a quality destination.

According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang currently has eight certified tourism service establishments whose recognition remains valid.

The food-service category includes Mr Anh Restaurant, operated by An Thanh Co., Ltd., All Seasons Restaurant and Lauphai Clay Pot Rice Restaurant. The shopping category comprises Vincom Ngo Quyen Da Nang, Dai Viet Co Investment JSC’s Maritime Service Centre and MM Mega Market Da Nang. An Spa is the only establishment recognised in the health and wellness category.

Mr Anh Restaurant, operated by An Thanh Co., Ltd., received the Vietnam Tourism Award 2025, while An Spa was named among the ASEAN Top Spas 2024 and also received the Vietnam Tourism Award 2025.

These achievements illustrate how a service standard can become more than a certification. When consistently backed by quality, it can serve as part of a business’s brand-building process and, at the same time, strengthen visitors’ confidence in the destination.

Located at 340 Ong Ich Khiem Street, Mr Anh Restaurant focuses on Central Vietnamese cuisine while also catering for parties, gatherings and events.

Director Le Phuong Cam Vi said the tourism-standard certification was a valuable recognition of the restaurant’s efforts and helped build confidence among travel companies, particularly when they were selecting venues for groups.

What ultimately determines whether visitors return is the quality of food, food safety, cleanliness and the sincerity of service. The restaurant therefore pays close attention to ingredient sourcing, hygiene during food preparation, consistency in its dishes and the service attitude of its staff.

“We also pay attention to customers’ feedback after each meal,” she said, describing it as an important basis for retaining customers and developing long-term relationships with partners.

A similar approach is being taken by An Spa. According to its owner Nguyen Thanh Tam, recognition as a tourism-standard establishment reflects the spa’s efforts to maintain service quality and improve customer experience.

The certification also gives first-time visitors another reference point when looking for health and wellness services in Da Nang.

Professional staff, a well-maintained environment, consistent service and the experience delivered at every visit remain decisive factors.

Under the regulations, recognised establishments can display the official tourism-standard sign and logo in their promotional materials. They can also be introduced through tourism-sector communication channels, promotional publications and appropriate tourist information points.

More importantly, they can be connected with travel agencies to explore opportunities to become part of tours, itineraries and experience-based tourism products.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to further promote these establishments through digital content, videos, suitable KOLs and KOCs, as well as tourism promotion programmes. Connections among certified service providers, travel agencies, accommodation businesses and attractions are also expected to be strengthened.

The goal, therefore, is to build a reliable network of quality services around the visitor journey.
