Da Nang's GRDP estimated to rise by 10.31% in the first 9 months

DNO - According to the Da Nang’s socio-economic report for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2026, the city’s economy continued to grow, with production, business, trade, services, and investment activities gradually gaining momentum.

Specifically, the city's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) for the first 9 months of the year was estimated to have increased by 10.31% compared to the same period in 2025.

As a result, Da Nang's GRDP growth rate ranked among the fairly good growth localities nationwide. It placed 7th out of 34 localities in the third quarter and 9th out of 34 localities in the first 9 months of 2026.

In terms of contribution, the service sector continued to play a prominent role in the city's economic growth. In the third quarter, this sector grew by 12.39%, contributing 6.47 percentage points to the overall GRDP growth of the city; the growth reached 10.55%, contributing 5.57 percentage points in the first 9 months of the year.

Alongside services, the industry and construction sector remained a key growth driver. This sector grew by 12.77% in the third quarter, significantly higher than the 11.43% growth recorded in the first 9 months of the year. This, thereby, contributed 3.79 percentage points to the third-quarter GRDP growth and 3.21 percentage points in the first 9 months of the year.

The agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector maintained steady growth, expanding by 3.71% in the third quarter and 3.42% in the first 9 months of the year.

Meanwhile, product taxes less product subsidies rose by 12.56% in the third quarter and 11.16% in the first 9 months of the year, further boosting the city's GRDP growth.
